Make sure that Hook Backup library IS ticked. Just unzip and copy the 3 folders inside into the Backup folder. Scenario 1:Got all characters in scenario 1Garosh died Freed BernardRefugees all savedDidn't kill the Baby DragonGot Ship's KeySaved SpirielGot Soulmate between Synbios and Julian (Julian also got Soulmates with Masqurin)Scenario 2:Got All Characters in Scenario 2 (except Garosh, obviously)Got Soulmate between Medion and JulianI exploited the Jail Trick a teensy bit: the characters are loaded down with 15 Lucky Cookies and 15 Speed Onions )Scenario 3:Currently at chapter 6Got all characters so far (except Edmund)And there's a crapload of Soul Mates between various characters. Sometimes they just decide they're corrupted anyway.Īnyway, if all that doesn't work I've uploaded my savefiles here: So as far as SSF is concerned, there's no memory card inserted.Īnyway, with hook backup library unchecked, it should be named as ExternalBackupRAM.bin and placed in the same directory as SSF.exe.Īnd for the save states, I find that they pretty much refuse to work after you mess with the Hook Backup Library thingy. You want it on backup the 1 and 4 mb are for the extra RAM cartridge addon thingies that a couple of games like Darkstalkers needed. I'm sorry if there's alot to read, I was just trying to be specific. I would really like to figure this out because if I can't write to an external save file I can't get past the end of chapter 1. It just tells me it needs to be formatted every time I start SSF.

I've tried 3 different Bios with all the area codes and nothing works. I can use the external file to load and save as long as I don't exit SSF, but once I exit, I have no access to any saves I made to the cartridge. However, no file shows up when I save to an external cartridge. This way, I could see where the file was created and replace it with the downloaded file. I decided to remove the downloaded ExternalBackupRAM save file and let SSF create its own external file. Both times SSF didn't recognize the external cartridge and told me I needed to clear the memory and format it to use it. I tried putting it in the Backup folder under External, as well as having it in the main directory. I renamed the scenario 2 file to ExternalBackupRAM, but I couldn't get SSF to recognize it. Then I tried to use one of the save files from the FTP.

I compiled the iso no problem and mounted it with Daemon Tools, downloaded a few versions of the bios, and started playing.
